Ultraman Jack Kaijus - 7

I bet some of you thought I had completely forgot about my on going Ultraman Project huh lol. Well here is the next set for the Ultraman Jack Monsters. A pretty varied group I might add. So….lets get down the bios shall we.


Zanika: This is an alien that came to Earth because his own home world was devoured by a giant cloud monster named Vaccumon. He landed upon the planet by a shooting star. His arrival did not go unnoticed though. Goh and the rest of MAT, attacked the monster with their weapons. They were not effective at all. But what the puzzling thing was that the monster crab did not attack them back. It was not until they attacked it a 3rd time with the jets, did the monster fight back finally. Goh transformed into Jack and battled the monster. On the verge of defeat, the monster crab fell to it’s knees in tears. It pleaded for it’s life and warned the Ultra of the coming monster Vaccumon. Earth was in the monster’s glutinous path! Jack went out into space and destroyed the monster. Liberating the worlds from the monster’s bottomless pit. Happy and content, Zanika flew back into outerspace and returned to his world.

Not the best crab monster from the Ultra series that is for sure, but Zanika is ok. I just hate when it’s mouth goes all foamy. But that is something all giant monster crabs seemed to do. Ganium from Toho even did. I wish the claws were much bigger though. They just look like boxing gloves kinda. Oh well. It’s an ok monster. I do not hate it, but I do not love it either.


Kupukupu: This is yet another larva form to a giant monster that would eventually attack Japan. This was a fluffy pink monster that crashed to Earth in a meteorite. Unlike other monsters, this beast kept to itself. It never attacked anyone! But it was cruelly hunted down and captured. In complete ignorance the MAT team burned and vaporized the poor dog sized monster. It was fear that motivated their actions. Fear that the monster may be a problem. Needless to say a small boy was able to retrieve a tiny piece of the creature’s flesh. He took it home. There, during one night, it came to life. It phased through the boy’s wall, bonding with a drawing of a monster that was on his wall. A drawing of the dangerous beast that would be called Kingstron!

Yet another monster that I can not say a whole lot about. His tragic life is way more interesting than the monster’s design itself. I mean this was gentle beast. No more dangerous than a young deer! But it was destroyed because of fear. Ignorance at life. Why did Ultraseven fight to persevere man again? The most war like and violent race in the galaxies; according to some invading aliens. He has no powers other than his dead flesh can bring about interesting manifestations of thought and material.


Kingstron : This is a monster brought to life through a boy’s imagination, and piece of dead alien flesh. The monster threatened the lives of humanity now, forcing Ultraman Jack to arrive on the scene. He battled the monster, but without his Specium Beam being any effect, the Ultra had a hard time. But eventually he was able to overcome the monster because of his Ultra Braclet.

This is a pretty cool quadruped monster. I’m surprised that he is not all that popular though. It’s difficult to find anything on him, and I do not know of any really good figure of him. Most of those look…well….crappy. Anyway, this monster can spit a sheet of flame from his mouth and fire energy bolts from his tail. His massive horns on his back can actually move around, so much they can be used to get the monster off his back when he is knocked down. His shell is massively strong, even able to take a direct hit from the Specium Beam with no effect on it. All in all this is a neat monster that I wish would make a comeback someday. Or at least get some freaking recognition.


Nokogirin Larva: This is an alien beetle that crashed to Earth in a meteorite. Once it freed itself from it’s rock prison, it set out to create all kinds of havoc. Several unfortunate people were turned to ash before it’s might energy ray that it could fire from it’s central horn. Eventually the monster was corned and taken out to a field. Once there, the members of MAT turned their laser pistols on it. It should have killed the monster by all accounts. But it didn’t. The firepower mutated the tiny beetle into a man-sized insect. Which would further mutate to a giant!

Not much to say about this, its just a prop insect for the kaiju. Just a thing on a string. Still, it is a cool design for a cool giant beetle monster that will be in the next set. He can fly and shoot a disintegrating ray from his central horn.
